Giovanni Bellini: Biography

Giovanni Bellini (approximately 1430–1516), the second son of Jacopo Bellini, was the greatest artist of the Venetian school and the founder of the Renaissance art in Venice.

Born into the renowned family of Italian painters, Giovanni Bellini established the foundations of High Renaissance art in Venice.
